BEFORE CAMP STARTS

 

What should I bring to camp?  

Checklist of suggestions for what to bring . . .

When should I arrive (driving) at the HS camp?

Arrive by 9:40am the first day for check-in.

Arrive by 9:55am for other days.

Need to arrive early? Students can be monitored beginning at 8am but you need to tell us in advance and confirm we can accommodate you. There is an extra fee for this.

When should I depart (driving) at the HS camp?

Expect to leave camp after 5:30pm each day.

Students commuting can leave as late as 6:30pm but you need to tell us in advance and confirm we can accommodate you.There is an extra fee for this.

How do I get to the Climb Camp and where do I go?

STUFF WHEN AT THE CAMP

  • Need to Park?
    Park in the school's parking lot.

  • Can I go off campus?
    You can go off campus ONLY if your parents have given you permission and you must be at least 16 years old. We STRONGLY recommend against this--if you need food, order from doordash or similar; if you have a need, just ask Jim Hanson.

  • Food?
    Bring your lunches with you Monday through Thursday or be prepared to order doordash or similar.
    Climb the Mountain will provide light snacks each afternoon.

    Climb the Mountain provides pizza for lunch on Friday.

VISITS, CALLING

Parent-Family Visits: Yes—please see Jim Hanson or the camp assistant first when you arrive. Lunch is best as they don't interrupt class/lab sessions/debate-speech practices.

Calling: If you need to contact Jim Hanson, email is best but you can call 360-536-1983 if it is urgent.

AT THE END OF CAMP

When do participants depart?

After 5:30pm on the last day of camp after student recognitions.
